Notes: Written for j2_everafter and is loosely based on the 2002 movie Tuck Everlasting. Title taken from the song Hold You In My Arms by Ray LaMontagne - which I listend to over and over and over again while working on this.

The story is told in snippets (vignettes, if you will), going back and forth between current (present events) and things that have passed. It just happened - the story demanded to be written this way.

I think I re-wrote this fic fifteen different times and in about thirty different ways. I struggled with it so much until I realised, oh hey, why am I basically copying the movie exactly? So, this came about at 3am one morning. A huge thank you to my number one cheerleader shiny_starlight, she kept me sane and was there in every single incarnation of this fic with her pokey-stick. She was also very patient as I asked endless questions and sent snippets for her opinion at all hours.

Also, to the lovely mods at j2_everafter, thank you for giving those of us who had real life issues another chance to get our stuff posted, y'all rock!
